Tour of the woodwork in Winchester Cathedral

Winchester has a wonderful heritage of medieval carvings and also some extremely old furniture. This was a fascinating tour; the guides were excellent.
. We toured in small groups so that everyone could see properly.

We left Church Place, Romsey, after lunch. Following the tour, we were entertained to a very enjoyable tea by the Friends of Winchester Cathedral in the Prior’s Hall, then stayed on for Evensong before heading for home.
