The Friends of Romsey Abbey were pleased to continue their ongoing support of the Abbey recently by funding the purchase of three new contactless donation stations to replace the ageing ones which have been in service for around 6-7 years. The new stations are simpler to use with the option that they will take gift aid on donations if the donor chooses this. In addition, they will offer to remember the donor for future donations making future gift aided donations even quicker.
Contactless donation stations have been in place in the Abbey since 2018 and in 2024 the Friends also funded the installation of a contactless device in the Gift Shop. These machines help raise much needed funds for the Abbey.
