A further project supported by the Friends has been the upgrade of the display by the Sir William Petty effigy at the West End of the Abbey. Previously the spacing and layout of the information was fine, but sometimes movement of the boards made the text less easy to follow. The displays have now been reconfigured to make them flow more easily and make the information about this great and very clever man much clearer. His grave is to be found just east of the vestrey.
He was a most clever man with an astonishing number of achievements to his name and definitely worthy of time and attention.
