WELCOME to the Friends of Romsey Abbey (FRA). The Friends is a registered Charity (Reg. No.1134191) which aims, through social contact and fun events, to support the Abbey by meeting its stated aims:
- Publicise the Abbey effectively
- Draw more people to the Abbey
- Enhance The Abbey experience for all
- Educate people of all ages
We raise funds which are utilised to contribute towards physical improvements to the Abbey which can fulfil all those aims. Funds are raised by means of a series of trips and events which vary from year to year. Bi monthly coffee mornings at the Town Hall are a great way to take the first step and you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are no qualifying criteria to become a Friend – all are welcome regardless of creed, culture or belief – all you need to do is to complete the membership application and standing order (£10 per annum per person) and you will be ready to become a part of this friendly and enjoyable community.
